About Us

We started out as just a college Japanese club that enjoyed learning about all that intriguing stuff that caught our attention coming from Japan Obviously. Jeremy being the club prez at the time helmed everything.  We would study the Japanese language , learn moves from popular Martial Arts , we were even the welcome party for foreign exchange students from Japan!

(which kicked ass by the way eventhough there was a huge language barriers (( we barely learned japanese )) )it didn't mean it wasn't fun as HELL! Okay so after a good 2 years being in the club. Diego presented the club with the idea of filming our activities (LOL i make it sound so illegal) and posting em on youtube and perhaps introducing a website. Before we knew it JapanMinute was born January 20th 2009 and the website made official Febuary 7th 2009.

After a couple of random videos we stuck with the idea of covering Anime/Cosplay conventions to our surprise were heavily under promoted/reported/recorded/documented....etc and we had a lot of random videos , some were obvious  like sushi and sake and manga but we pulled a HUGE^999 (yes to the 999th power) road trip across the state to cover a drifting motorsport event with little money and even less resources we still managed to pull it off , the mission of the year.

This here ^ was the first piece of JapanMinute ever

The website went through an extensive amount of reform (cuz we're all bunch of BLOKE NOOBS AT THIS STUFF)In any case we finally settled down after we found a good host and content management source (see joomla).

Since then we thought that last endevour was too much to juggle so we stuck with covering conventions and reporting on all things Brotaku (check Urbandictionary) basically readers Digest type of feed for Casual Nerds.

My name is Diego A.M. and I'm a Brotaku.

^ and this was our first poster that never got printed. (cuz thats a shit load of money we never had XD)

Thank you so much to everyone whom has supported us and has allowed us to get where we are and im talking about simply everyone be it the voice acting talent to the simple cosplayer whos not affraid of the camera! much love to yall!
