Gantz live action movie due 2011

after 5 years of jumping to the anime scene the popular "fight to survive" sci fi thriller Gantz (which is still being continued in the original manga) is making its leap to the silverscreen.

Many fans were more than satisfied with the Anime version of Gantz which ended with Kurono's presumptive death.

If you're into foreign films then you'll recognize some of the actors in this movie. Kurono will be played by Kazunari Ninomiya (letters from Iwo Jima) and Katou by Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Death Note movies).

Lets hope this doesn't turn out like .....coughAirbendercough.

this is the intro to the anime version

and this is behind the scenes trailer.

The movie looks like it will be crap. Don't know why they keep trying to turn anime into live action movies. Oh right... to give JapanMinute something to talk about ;)
